I am a technical doofus, but I’m shocked how hard it is, still, to simply run Bitcoin Core and then connect wallets to it remotely. Then connecting Lightning nodes remotely without specific hardware requires an insane level of technical knowledge. These items need to get boomer-proofed sooner rather than later.

I figure AI should help immensely on this front, but it’s basically impossible for any non-hardcore Bitcoiners. Even figuring out the config files, firewall settings, and router settings is a monumental task for anyone not totally dedicated to figuring it out.

Agreed. Only reason I’m running a node is umbrel and step by step raspberry pi guide for dummies. Even installing desktop wallets and verifying installation at Mac or dos prompt is not anything the average computer user is going to do.

I had to get serious help from #[3] to get my Core config file to connect to wallet software because I downloaded it to an external hard drive instead of the internal HD. Never would have figured it out without help.

Yeah that was bitcoin config file thing 😅

Pure torture.
