I don't get some hardcore bitcoiners... many of them started on Mt. fking GOX and held their balance there -- CUSTODIAL but if you mention the same application now you just get shouted at.

I used Gox, but through some subconscious happy accident, I never kept coins on there for more than 10 minutes. The remarkable thing is that, this was 3 or 4 years before I recognized that self-custody was *it*... at the time, I just wanted to play SatoshiDice 🤦‍♂️

I used to have all my coins on Mt. Gox, but I didn't like messing with limit orders so I jumped ship to Tradehill just before everything went down. I was with them until Coinbase came out and switched just before Tradehill was compromised.

Unfortunately, while they were at Coinbase, I nickel and dimed away all my coins. (needed money)

Now my coins are in cold store. Never again.
