I couldn't close my deceased father's bank account without attending an appointment and supplying them with a notarised death certificate, costing me £25.

So I've just let the account run, the only charge is my Dads mobile phone line, which I'm keeping in case anybody tries to phone not knowing he's died.

Today I got a text on his phone saying that his account is in debit and if he doesn't take action soon, they will close the account 😂
