I think you do still need to know computer science principles to be good at this in the short to medium term but probably not in the long term.

It will probably change soon, but outside of bash, still getting alarmingly bad code out of all AI platforms.
doubtful. It's only a matter of time before prompts have automated to the point where you can just type what you want the all the extra complexity will be handled internally.
