Watched Dead Man’s shoes (2004), a psychological thriller directed by Shane Meadows. The protagonist is a soldier who comes back to his hometown to get revenge against the group of people who abused his brother. The movie is very dark and gritty. Themes are redemption, guilt and vengeance. The soundtrack is excellent. The movie has a low budget but it was very well spent: the flashbacks in black & white, with the barely distinguishable dialogues are perfect, like distant memories. Action scenes are well executed. The story is solid. The dialogues too. There’s a 5% of the dialogues that are lost in translation because of the heavy accents. I really enjoyed this one. It goes in the rewatch pile. 8.8/10

nostr:npub1s3grn8hq3zhfuedrm4c9z2ljukp36x0lsakhwgqqavl2nsk0q0lqpv2tvy I really enjoyed this one. The music 🤌🏾

I'm glad you enjoyed it node (I thought you would) and I'm glad to have not let you down with the suggestion🙏🏻.

If you'd have watched the YT clip I sent, it was the bit where they stop the car and go over to Richard for a chat, the bit where Richard points at his hand and says *You're there mate*. It would all make sense to you now☠️🥳. Oh, and GM🙋🏻‍♂️. I've just got up, early for some reason. 0736hrs local time🙄.

GM friend! Early morning is always great 🫡

Such an intense movie. Everything clicks into place later in the movie. I don’t wanna spoil anything. Very well written

I must admit though, I've never seen a group of drug dealers driving round in an old Citroën 2CV😳😂.

Privacy enthusiasts for sure! 11/10 for opsec 🤣

Ha ha🧐.

These guys go from 0 to 100 real quick. Absolute psychos.

“Someone’s outside”

*grabs his axe and runs outside*

Nope. No fucking about😂🥳.

Or the insane look the main character gives the other guy in the beginning of the movie. It seemed like the other shag his pants. I can only imagine the horrors he’s seen in war

*shat his pants 😂

Yes. "What are you looking at, you cunt"😮😂.

He traumatized the other guy for the rest of the movie 😂

Ha ha, he did🥳. I have another suggestion for you, it is again, another low budget British film but this time, it's absolutely atrocious. "A day of violence" which managed a massive 18% on Rotten Tomatoes. It's a British gangster film, it's that bad, it's good😬😂. You should add it to your list🥳.

Trying to download. Doesn’t seem to be a lot of seeds and peers. We’ll see how it goes

I'm not surprised😂😂.
