Carnivore is an awesome way to re-establish your health. I did 30 days about a year and a half ago, and dropped 20# that month. I've since reverted to #Keto and the weight still keeps dropping, though at a steady pace.

Honestly, I could live the carnivore life, but my wife is doing Keto for cancer treatment, and being the great cook she is, makes some excellent side dishes that I have to have some of!

Since her diagnosis and starting Keto, she's dropped 50# and is off all her prescription drugs for cholitis and reflux.

Diet is #health

Awesome! As long as you avoid any food intolerances, and 30 day carnivore would have functioned as an elimination diet, lots of people do really well on clean keto, with similar results as carnivore!

I lost about 15lbs and gained a good bit of muscle with absolutely no fasting or calorie restriction and maintaining the same work routine. However, I am more active at home because I am more energetic.

When I started carnivore, I ate until full 2 meals a day, from 12pm until 7pm. So, was doing intermittent fasting. I had no trouble with hunger at all, and often wasn't hungry enough to eat dinner so would end up doing OMAD (one meal a day). Not by intention, but just because I didn't want to eat just to eat. That was part of the process for me to change my habits.

Every now and then I'll still eat a big lunch and skip dinner for the same reason.

Now, as part of my wife's cancer treatment, we have included fasting into our program, often for 3 days at a time. This has been a great challenge for mastering hunger and the psychology of eating. When researching fasting, we've discovered so many benefits to doing short term, extended fasting. I highly encourage everyone to at least look into it.

Lots of people combine various forms of fasting with great results. Myself I do not recommend it during the first three weeks of carnivore or keto since there are so many other changes going on. On the contrary with carnivore, I suggest considering eating as much and often as reasonably possible in the first few weeks to avoid cravings and low energy from not eating enough. I'm seven weeks in and eating somewhat less often, but I don't think I'm past the insulin resistance or completely fat adapted yet. Personally I probably won't try anything beyond accidental/incidental intermittent fasting until then. At this point I don't expect that to happen before the 3-month mark, possibly a good bit later. Granted if I were working towards different goals I might look at it very differently. Either way I'm still learning, both by observing others and my own self.

Yeah, I normally didn't eat breakfast before, just had a great coffee with heavy cream and sometimes a little butter. Then when I started carnivore, I just found myself eating later and later. I ate A LOT at lunch, but usually didn't start eating until after 12. Then that second meal was either hit or miss depending on how hungry I was. I knew I didn't really want to eat much late at night, so often would just put it off until the next day.

Then I'd often not feel hungry until later in the morning/early afternoon. Eating carnivore helps you understand eating instinctually, and not just cramming food all day long. I don't do "exercise", but am relatively active throughout the day. Those with higher energy outputs may have differing needs.

I do agree that you should make changes one step at a time and learn how those things are affecting you.
