What's the book?
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Inanna
i was reading a book I downloaded about mesopatamia, that brought up an interesting point that the 'sex cult' (roughly speaking, worshippers of the sex goddess Inanna) could have been an evolutionary or biological way to ensure humanities future. The author raised the point that life expectancy was extremely low, and mass death was not exactly rare due to no sanitation existing. So it could have been very important for the survival of humans to engage in hedonism early on.
Also it's very interesting to read stories translated from the time regarding sex and this goddess in particular. They were not shy to full on describe Inanna saying "Check out my vagina, look how perfect it is". Some of the earliest recorded stories have a level of poetic understanding of the world, and at some times, an almost modern bluntness that really takes me back.

Ah cool, it's on soulseek too fyi
Yeah honestly slsk is way more reliable for finding books for me. I'm not sure which trackers have all the epubs tbh.
Toss up between slsk and libgen for me
Also get your ass on #bookstr it's probably one of the best hashtags on nostr, also just for finding people to follow. I mean #progstr is the king of hashtags imo lol
Anna's Archive is a great site:
For some reason I'm terrified of opening this link
Read about it on the Wikipedia:
I was mostly kidding lol I think I could trust you to feed my cat
Don't trust pseudonymous internet folks with anything. On the internet no one knows you're a dog, or a troll working at a troll farm, or an LLM made to push an agenda, or just some scuzzy creep trying to manipulate people for fun.
You just want to feed my cat 2 dinners 😡😡
