We ran an opportunity cost when we had our second. For his to be in daycare & my wife to work as a substitute teacher we would be ~200 ahead each month.
Our choice was for my wife to quit be a full time mom and figure out how to save/earn that extra cash. I had 2 working parents growing up they loved me but i spent way to much time away from them.
You can choose your friends, but you build yer family. My wife has been integral to doing this. Biggest choice of my life. As for the kids, theres no “good time” for them
