Our Muntries (Kunzea pomifera), also known as Emu Apples, are finally ripe.

An Australian native shrub, it's great as a ground cover, at our place it totally covers a 5 x 20ft steep bank very thickly. They taste sweet, almost like a toffee/candy apple.

Cool! Do you have animals that this feeds?

We eat them, they are a favourite of the kids, they just graze on them. I've never fed them to our chooks, I'll give it a go. The plant is very tough, so it could stand up to chooks in a coop.

Wow , sound delish!

They are, quilt free lollies 🍭

Quilt 😂. Guilt free

Interesting, never heard of those.

Indeed, me neither, curious if you can just eat like it is, with seed and everything 😋

The seeds are tiny, almost microscopic, so you don't notice them. It's basically all fruit and the bigger ones are blueberry sized.

Nice! Thanks, now I want to tey them even more 😁😋

Omg these are so cute

Sure could use some of those for an eroded bank we have on 2nd driveway. Will check into them👍🏻

They grow fast and actually prefer drier soils and conditions. And produce a crop.

Amazingly I just saw an ad for these on Facebook 😂 would love to try one someday
