This applies to political, religious, technological, and even philosophical systems. The continuous presence of the author tends to turn the idea back into an instrument of power. And “power” is the ability to influence, guide, govern, and determine the future of one or more people.

The disappearance of the author prevents this capture. Bitcoin cannot be “updated by Satoshi.”
