The new season of Doctor Who is coming soon. It will launch on Disney+ in the U.S. and internationally on Friday May 10 at 7pm ET.

I'm a fan. This will be the first year that I won't have to the show each week thanks to the partnership with Disney+. #Whovians

Disney will ruin it just like Star Wars

The majority of the Disney+ Star Wars shows are great and add to the storyline.

I never watched them, just hated the movies

I'm curious, how woke were the TV shows?

I don't think they were at all. I think I've watched them all, minus the amine ones.

Cool. I remember the star of the mandolorian getting fired seemingly for not being woke.

I don't even remember her 🤣 not a huge impact IMO

Lol. I thought she was the star

Nah, that's Pedro Pascal.

🤔 Can Disney translate Gallifreyan

I just want to learn more about the timeless child, dammit!

I hope Disney does the show better then the bbc has in the last few years…

But I don’t think it’s gonna happen with how their other productions have been lately

It's still a BBC show, Disney just has the rights to stream it in the US.

I thought they acquired everything not just streaming rights?

It seems to just be streaming/ distribution.

Thank you for the link

I'm a Whovian ... mostly Ted Baker's Whovian, after the last few doctors I've been hesitant to come back to the show... Is it ok now?

I haven't had a bad Doctor yet. Each one was been awesome in their own way. My favorite new Doctor is David Tennent and then Peter Capaldi.

Yeah, love those two. Jodie was not bad, but the writing was just plain boring. I'll give the new Doctor a go.

I enjoy the new doctor as an actor. I have liked his other work.

That said, if the new season is anything like the Christmas specials, I may not be entirely a fan.

You can tell that either a) I'm getting old, which I am, and b) their target audience is now Gen Z. Which I guess makes sense since that's the age of the Doctor and his new companion.

I think I stopped around season 9-10. Is it worth picking back up?

I love sci-fi and doctor who so I'll probably always be biased and watch it.

The timeless child and galifey episodes the last few years were fantastic though. The best of their seasons.

I started watching the "reboot" when it was on Netflix around 2010-11 and fell in love with it. I actually started rewatching those episodes a few months ago and still love them.

I've never watched anything before the 2005 reboot because I was still in high then and that's old enough for me. 😉

I started watching in 2007 when a friend recommended it to me and have been hooked since. You should check out the David Tennant years. They're some of the best, IMO. I haven't watched any of the OG pre-reboot episodes.

Capaldi was a chad

I've seen up to the end of the Peter Capaldi years. David Tennant is probably my favorite Doctor but I think the Matt Smitch seasons might be better overall. The chemistry between him, Amy, Rory and River is probably the best tv I've ever watched.

100%.. David Tennant is still my favorite Doctor.. Don't blink! https://youtu.be/cwdbLu_x0gY

"legally purchase" 😉😂

You figured it out! Zapped!

There are plenty of other shows to 🏴‍☠️🦜
