I like the guy, I brush off his bitcoin stuff, I find it funny more than anything.

What he’s describing here is a concept called fiscal dominance.

This will lead to what’s commonly referred to as hyper inflation. It creates a feedback loop where the creation of money is needed to service obligations and debt, and that creates so much inflation that you have to print more money.
