Pablo, any thoughts on creating an app store or an app marketplace ? will benefit users, tool devs and clients (I wrote a note but had typo on your ID and wasn't tagged, sorry) - although knowing you, you may have already built one!

I've been talking about this with a few people recently, less of an app store and more of a directory of projects.

Missed out you and Artur! That's a cool feature, but what is the algo behind recommendation? I would rather user have their options. This could be an add on. I'm not too sure how a directory of project works - more for devs ?

The idea of an app marketplace is that attracts users - and tool devs need a lot of users to try their tools, so that they can build more for users.

Clients can also integrate this - expand userbase for tool devs, and more options for users. when users are happy, clients are happy. Its a win win for all

Users will recommend apps, and apps will publish info about themselves, and any client can use all that info to suggest other apps to users. I don't think we have good models of what's possible in this open interoperable system yet, so lots of experimentation ahead.

exactly

I can't believe not everybody that sees this is jumping up at the opportunity to explore/discover these new paradigms

like niche-relays; I can't wait to get to play with weird-as-fuck relays

My hope is to help find ways to increase user adoption for tools. This in turn will boost more tool devs and create better circulation. A bit of catch 22. But if it’s not needed then the idea can be abandoned, no biggie

I think your feedback will be welcome here https://github.com/erskingardner/nostr-how/pull/99

yeah. I'm sure there will be a lot of these app stores, although I suspect an app store is a bit of an anti-pattern that flows from the fact that data has been use-case siloed

apps have never existed in an data-fluid world like the one we're creating

i think a predetermined one might be an offset from where we are, but expecting arbitrary options of search and hunt might be risky.

apps is just another name for tools here, i'm using it interchangeably and lightly

Amazing 🤩
