Getting photos off your phone just needs a cable and either mac or pc. most of the photo programs treat the iphone like a camera and let you import them.

Image Capture is the easiest on Mac.

I can't remember which one is easiest on windows.

I think you can do it with dropbox. It's been a while since I've had an iphone but pretty sure the dropbox app has a "backup photos" option.

you should be able to create a network accessible drive on the pc and store the photos there for the swap. method will depend a bit on the os.
