You can't have both homosexual civil unions, and immigration, they are fundamentally incompatible ideas.

Either the immigrants who typically tend to come from Conservative, and Nationalistic countries will outlaw homosexuality in due time, or you stop immigration, and homosexual civil unions are upheld by the legal system.
