I added a camera to my chicken coop so I can see when there's eggs ready for pickup. These girls won't be laying for a few more months but I'm ready. #backyardchickens #chickens

Not to be a buzzkill, but you're over thinking it.
Just spend some time with them everyday; you'll be fine.
If they’re dropping different color eggs, or if you have a breeding project, t’s nice to see who’s laying what eggs… and who’s pecking eggs.
Just don’t let them get used to sleeping in there. Roosts are for roosting, laying boxes are for laying. I’m guilty of it but early access gives them bad habits sometimes.
