I flew a helicopter tonight using night vision goggles (NVGs). Photons turned into electrons, amplified, then turned into an eyepiece image. Magic technology so I can see in the dark and avoid obstacles. While it helps to understand the principles of the science, I don’t have to understand everything about how it works to use it professionally.
