Inflation is straight-up theft that CRUSHES citizen's purchasing power and interferes with productivity-driven deflation (which car and electronics industries, as examples, clearly experience via advances in technology, which increase productivity, which lowers production costs, which lowers prices).

A car today should cost LESS than a car did 45 years ago for the same reason a smartphone (with more compute power) costs LESS than all of the computers (with less compute power) that sent Apollo 11 to the Moon in 1969: productivity-driven deflation
