Like I said in our call, every NIP is wrong. :)

I have had long discussions about this +/- encoding and I concluded that it is better to not interfere with UP/Down vote clients.

Otherwise, the weight of Amethyst in their stats breaks everything.

I remember this conversation, my comment was that there are at least 3 semantics for voting packed into one. Partitioning by content won't fix it, we need new kinds.
