Global Entry also quietly switched to automatic facial recognition in the last year or so without any discussion or pushback.

You’ll have a facial recognition surveillance state and you will be happy.

They were collecting photos pre-security at passport check when I traveled out of country recently as well. Not a practice I’d seen before. Claimed they’d be deleted after 1 week but clearly being used to train some model.
