That’s an odd saying to me. Perhaps I don’t understand the meaning. It sounds like a punishment for people who didn’t hear information as quickly as others for reasons unknown. My deepest apologies if it means something else.

Early buyers were crazy people at the eyes of society, the risk was high and non bitcoiners looked at you with laughter or pity. But they got what they deserved, they got to buy it cheap.
Today's buyers are still very early.
“They got what they deserved” sounds more like folks just did a horrible job at explaining the tech. The people always deserve maximum freedom. If early adopters didn’t explain that well it sounds more like a skill issue.
I say this with love. That statement focuses on the price and not with the freedom.
“You deserve to be free. Welcome to more freedom.” Is a more welcoming vibe.
