I went the self build route for my node solution.
No lightning or multiple apps.
I have bitcoincore, mempool, tor, VPN and Electrum server lol.
( I’m a cheap skate )

It’s bare bones really, but on repurposed hardware and the theory is, the less complex, the less there is to go wrong.
