My 84 year old dad does.

I live in the US where radio sucks due to the FCC

I listen to nostr:nprofile1qqsx0z3s3evuynhpkdptpl56hhm0m7jaenps46e8tffhu8ml5psfl0qppemhxue69uhkummn9ekx7mp0qywhwumn8ghj7mn0wd68ytnzd96xxmmfdejhytnnda3kjctv9u6ddtdz every week even though he's FCC licensed, because he's the first FCC licensed FM radio DJ on #nostr where I don't even see how he's allowed to do that this early

Thanks for the shout out homie.

I didn't realize you were based in Humboldt. I left my heart there when I came back to Cajun country in 2009. Tell EKA hi for me. Lol.

That's really cool to here. It gets lonely up here sometimes but I love it. I think I'm the only #nostrich in the entire county.

Thank you! I miss those trees so hard.

They'll still be here when you get back!

(FM) Radio is mostly appalling, I do however stick it on during cooking/making a morning coffee. It's mostly shitlibs talking, no matter which station you turn to. Radio3 is mostly the exception because it is classical music (mostly), no adverts as it's the BBC.

I know there's international radio sets you can get, which I don't have. But that feels like a slightly different experience.

Probably more people than you think, but less than in the past for sure.

Commuters tune in during morning and evening drives.. Laborers like contractors often have the radio on during working hours as well.

At home though, on a person's spare time, it is a rarified phenomena when someone turns on the radio.

Community radio can still be cool.
