Hello World!

I’m a guy that believes deeply that the heart of man is good. I believe that God isn’t some mystical force but something much deeper, God may just be the Love we have for each other (the layers of the onion are deep, please challenge my thoughts, I want to learn, I am seeking). If you follow me you’ll be with me while I explore that.

Also, Bitcoin lead me to God. Tell me I’m crazy, tell me whatever, I want my thoughts challenged.

Welcome to Planet Purple

Welcome!

You’re not crazy, but here are the challenges as requested 😁

1. God is the love we have for each other, but not JUST that. You tagged Jesus, which is insightful: God is a person, the Father, Holy Spirit, and Jesus Christ.

2. Humans were created to be good, and some of that remains, but not enough to call their hearts good. All of us are corrupted by sin.

Glad you’re here!

1. Jesus is one with God, therefor Jesus must be God. BUT Jesus is also a GIFT from God. God has always existed but Jesus is kinda new, something special. God is Love. Jesus is TRUTH. Jesus came so we could begin to unlock and understand all the Love of God that comes through TRUTH without forgetting about him (God).

2. Those beliefs that the church has are what pushed me away when I was half my age and truly seeking. This pushed me to Loving my wife, who is atheist. Continuing to Love my family (mom/sister) while we went through those growing panes as they initially believed that somehow I was rejecting them by Loving my wife.

Sin is complicated in some ways, the best way I currently have to understand it is to be the absence or antithesis to Love. Seek to be truly Loving (this takes work even to understand, but there are objective goods to be done in the world for example… almost anything done in service to the poor is good) to free yourself from sin and to be closer with God.

I Love that you reached out to me, I consider you a friend. Thank you.

Bitcoin has also lead me to no longer "deny" god.

Set up a wallet so I can zap you! 😄

lol it took me a while, but I think I did it

Same actually

It's truly a revolution to dwarf all previous revolutions.

I picture God as everything, Brahma. I used to doubt God because the idea that nothing could exist-no planets, no light, no space or time,nothing-is impossible. More and more I find to be an unpragmatic approach. It does exist and we are here. God, to me, is energy. It creates all things, it remembers things, it forms connections and it is constantly reshaping "creation" which is really just a chemical reaction in 4 (or however many) dimensional space.

The salvation, penance, charity, etc, it's all just iterations of each of us shaping, consciously and unconsciously, subjective and consensus reality. It's homage to the fact that we are all connected, one infinitely entangled web of individuals and minerals veering to and from our ultimate goal of safety, prosperity and happiness for all of us.

It's a metaphor that Bitcoin helped me to see because suddenly we have intrinsically aligned interests. I want BTC to build my wealth and I want you to have BTC so that we have coincidence of needs and a common medium of exchange. If God didn't exist, it seems like we would never be able to converge on a single mechanism for collective betterment, and if he does exist, nothing could stop us from reaching this point in history.

Bitcoin was inevitable, and the fact that it didn't get strangled in the crib is a testament to that idea. The most powerful technology very naturally coheres with the most powerful force of nature, God.

Meanwhile, the Bible always seemed scarce in my mind because it never laid out the most effective form of governance. The fact that Jesus only got violent against the lenders in the temple, against the most insidious form of corruption which is so violently corrupting men's souls today tells me he knew exactly the dangers which tells me the divine was truly working that day and to this day.

Our brains are computers, they run on energy. The Bible says we are made is the image of God. The Bible also says God is Love and Jesus IS TRUTH. The more TRUTH we uncover the deeper we will understand Love and therefore understand God. I think we understand .05% of the TRUTH. But Damn, I want to know more.

By the way, I believe in Jesus. I cant explain it truly logically. Do you have any thoughts on Jesus?

Let’s be friends.

I'm fully with you on the .05% which is both intuition as well as alleged fact. Check out What the Bleep Do We Know? Book or doc. It basically explains we know an inch, what we know we don't know is 8 miles, and what we don't know we don't know is a stretch from here to the moon and back about 30 times. Scientifically, we've barely begun to understand our place and power.

I think he has some very bad publicity. I think the Bible is riddled with changes made by men with ulterior motives, the fact that it's compromised of a tiny fraction of the contemporary writings of the era shows the bias and that the message was massaged to use fear and emotional appeal just like grifting politicians do now. They aren't emulating the Bible, the Bible showed up after men were using those tactics already.

Whether Jesus was really the chosen embodiment of God is a question but I honestly don't think that ever mattered. I don't buy that the son of God would even want to be worshipped. I get the feeling he just showed up to say "Hey, if you guys show love and forgiveness to one another, this world can be an incredible experience for all of you, and if you don't it's gonna suck." I have no qualms with Jesus, I just get the feeling the story got affected.

All of that said, this episode has been the most moving thing I've ever heard on this topic, and kind of confirmed my own bias. 10/10 recommend.

Let's be buds, bud :)

I think your correct about sum parts of the Bible. I believe there are lies in it and people misinterpret it all the time. But I one verse I believe with all my heart is that “all things work to the glory of God.” Even the lies and misinterpretations.

Men grow through their hardships. Week men make the times and men, and women obviously, learn to rely on themselves to be the enforcer, to be the judge and to be the farmer. At least that's what I tell myself while not owning property yet.

I wonder how much broken money plays into these roles.

Aw thanks guy!

I have big doubts about salvation through belief in Jesus, seems weird to me. Why does God need you to believe in him to go to heaven? The Bible says “God is Love”… but that doesn’t sound like love to me.

I’ll have to check out this podcast on Monday. Not seeing 4 hours of quiet time before then. 🫠

Lol. Good luck. I can handle my niece and nephew for about three days before I need a vacation 😂

This guy describes a beautiful heaven. Thank you for sharing.

Moved me too. I kinda hate religion as a premise but I really hope he's right.

He says something at the beginning about people driving people away from religion, I think that’s insightful.

That's something I used to say when I was much younger and more devout. "You can't blame God for what people do." Still true but when a large portion of your demographic are narcissists..

Welcome
