Playing handyman around the house is certainly not a good use of my time when I could easily afford to buy an expert's time, but it scratches my sovereignty itch.

I actually think some peoples brains need that. If I poured all my focus into my expertise and paid others to do everything else for me I would lose my mind.
I have had mixed results hiring “experts” lately, so often end up scratching my sovereignty itch as well.
