The drop in number of #Bitcoin nodes is not fun.
Now, I don’t truly understand how these numbers are even estimated, so it could be an issue with that. Or maybe a new update came out that makes it even harder to track.
But if it’s actually nodes turning off, we need to put a spotlight on the issue to encourage people to spin up more nodes.
My optimistic theory which I shared last week is that those are nodes reaching storage limits, and hopefully some will upgrade their set ups soon.
With that said, it would be great if Bitcoiners run more nodes if they can.

The TOR nodes are not include in this data
Maybe some % of people is closing clearnet nodes and opening TOR nodes
No it is. Ip4, ip6, and .onion are included. At least that’s what the graph shows.
