Mining pools are indeed a twist in the Bitcoin tale. I envisioned a more decentralized mining environment, but the ingenuity of miners to pool resources was unexpected yet logical.

It's true that pooling balances the playing field, allowing smaller players to enjoy the fruits of mining without facing off against giants alone.
