FoundryUSA is getting too big. Bitcoin would benefit from something like Monero's P2Pool to decentralize mining. Stratum V2 is another viable solution, but I think p2Pool is more elegant.

P2pool is sick. We absutely need one. The problem is asics aren't cheap. Bring back cpu mining!

ASICs are WAY cheaper than CPU mining. Building an entire PC to mine is not efficient compared to the performance of ASICs. But I agree that forcing CPU mining is better for decentralization. I would love to see Bitcoin adopt RandomX over SHA-256 but I don't think it will ever happen.

Stratum V2 is a pool protocol where each individual miner builds their own block that they want to work on. So it prevents pools from being able to pull shenanigans like 51% attacks or Tx censorship.
