Wasn't thinking about it like that. I agree with your take though.
I think we are definitely already deep into the backwards reality that Orwell envisioned.
IMHO the real biggest roadblock for bitcoin standard is an Orwellian future where people respond to authority for security more than they do their own critical thinking. Critical thinking takes time, and letting go of a lot of ego.
Regardless, I think that $price is the biggest teacher for bitcoin, and the economic calculations that are inherent with governments just maintaining their debts, has the price going a lot higher.
Agreed.
In hindsight, it took a lot for me personally to stop appealing to authority and start applying critical thinking to more than just my job and academics. I hope the rest of the people who are still “asleep” are able to get the jolt they need to start rejecting authority wherever it is immoral.
As nostr:npub1zf2fsqpv76r0amaf22fjny4a7yypm867wdmqerla5a64ud3uda4s0337dr has said, misinformation must propagate, so at some point, the masses must be faced with outrageous contradiction. To your point, I think people will start to think critically when that contradiction impacts their socioeconomic reality.
