Go for it. Monero has a place to facilitate private transactions today, once Bitcoin faces a properly adversarial environment we’ll see privacy enhancements that will render Monero unnecessary if not obsolete.

It may see a short-term resurgence if those tools take too long to develop on the Bitcoin stack but long-term Monero won’t survive.
