As a fan of Borderlands myself I keep hearing from both the general internet and (so far 4x) IRL friends that it is one of the worst adaptations of a video game to movie in a long time. I generally trust their opinion on these matters and I can verify they've been (collectively) correct over the years. I can't say I've verified this myself on this particular movie, but my social graph seems to go against this opinion. Would love to be proven wrong though.
