Martyr John the Valah, a Romanian youth, was captured by Tatars and sold to a Turkish master who forced him to convert to Islam. John refused, steadfastly declaring his Christian faith, saying he would not deny Christ, even under torture. Despite persuasion and threats, he remained unwavering. Enraged, the Turk tortured and eventually beheaded him. Christians secretly took his body and buried it. Through John's martyrdom, many were strengthened in their faith, and miracles occurred at his grave.
O, #Martyr John, pray to God for us! May your courage inspire us to remain steadfast in our #Faith. May the #OrthodoxChurch always be blessed. #Saints #Prayer
