Ok, hear me out. If we were to implement NIP-98 in all clients, this would open a lot of opportunities for linking authenticated content. Then it may allow seamlessly paywall the content, or limit it to specific npubs (DM link sharing, file sharing, etc.) I know that it comes with the privacy compromising side, if every link was sent an authorization header with your npub, but that could be probably controlled on the client with settings or pop up, or any other interface magic. Just quickly read nip-98. Sounds like a reasonable solution to make content requests permissioned. Could also be great for linking accounts without deep Nostr integration (like a 'login with Nostr' on WordPress or some such function).
