Nonperishable food and ammo ARE hedges against high inflation and financial repression. Not as good or as fungible as bitcoin, but much safer than fiat in the bank.

Off to visit a no-coiner friend and his family today. They had a two-day power outage this week, lost the contents of their fridges, and had no lighting except for two rechargeable lamps I gave them for Christmas.

But they have a nicer car and pay more tax than me lol
