The people in power need to make sure that people who want to get into a higher class in society encounter as much hardship and resistance as possible. So they create a system of taxation and licenses to conduct business purposefully designed to maximise the friction when someone wants to improve their condition.

I do not pay any income taxes and leverage offshore jurisdictions to pay only incorporation and company maintenance costs. This way we have changed class multiple times and we will keep doing it.
