RIP.
Feels kinda shitty dismantling and recycling a good PC that's ran basically 24/7 for over 10 years perfectly. Gaming, Mining, Plex/Jellyfin/Samba Server turned PopOS daily driver.
All original parts except the the 1080Ti and ssd.

Turn it into a nas
It's apart already. It's the size of the thing that is the reason for finally pulling the plug. We are in the process of liquidating almost everything we own for an extended trip to another Country.
RIP, sounds like it served you well.
So are you switching to something ore mobile? Laptop?
Yes. For the interm I picked up a used couple year old Dell XPS 15 now running Fedora. First choice was a used Thinkpad X1 Extreme/P1 but I couldn't find any decent ones. IntelME and the Bios in general on these is a little freaky tbh... so I'm anticipating the Framework 16 and Starlabs Starfighter releases.
Very cool options. The Framework looks tempting. My daily driver is the Thinkpad X1 carbon 7th Gen with vanilla Arch but I've been eyeballing the Dell XPS 13 inch for a while. Also the newnaryzen S76 laptops are tempting as well. I like having so many great options for a Linux these days.
Nice. I looked at those but before switching back to my desktop I used a 2015 15" MacBook Pro as my main computer for a number of years and I have some particulars I need in a laptop now...
15-16" screen at 1080p minimum. Eyes can't handle the tiny 13-14" screens anymore.
No Numpad. Don't use them and can't stand off-center keyboards and trackpads.
Battery has to be atleast decent.
These two things alone disqualify so many options for me including all of S76's current lineup. That MacBook ruined my expectations for any other future laptops I ever want to use 😄
