Oh I love going to the shooting range as well.

Huzzah! Another person who enjoys firearms! That's always good to discover!

The most annoying part of the no-show of the people running the range was that the weather was perfect not even 5 minutes after the normal open time! It stopped raining, there was no appreciable wind, the sun was hidden by the thinning clouds, and it wasn't cold at all.

I know you can exactly predict the weather, but, gosh, a lot of trap and skeet shooters are sissies. LOL! I get that some guys are out there with $30k shotguns, but me and my used 20g (one of my two trap/skeet guns) couldn't care less about that. To be fair, I didn't bring my nicer 12g because of the weather, but, come on, fellas! Man up! Clean your gun after and it's fine.

But, yeah, after that, freshly baked CCCs, The Three Amigos and then Canadian Bacon, while also playing with my neice and rotating theories my backlog of laundry was a really pleasant afternoon.

Yeah they boys should have manned up 😅

I am not a professional and for sure not an expert, but I really enjoy shooting at the range and trying all kinds of guns. My favorite to use (as a girl it’s just easier and not so hard on my hands) is the Chezet 75 shadow line👌💕

I've never seen an indoor trap/skeet range. The building would have to be pretty huge for that...

You don't need to be a professional or an expert to enjoy firearms. As long as someone can follow the 4 fundamental rules, anyone can enjoy shooting.

CZ? I've not shot any of the Shadow series, but I have lovingly fondled a few. They are really, really well designed pistols. I like the colors, too. Good taste, there!

While I have extensive firearms training, I have not shot a wide variety, yet. My focus on my own firearms has been nearly entirely practical with one exception.

It's more beneficial to perfect the precision and speed with the firearms you actually have, but yeah I can imagine with your military background you have a lot of training here.

Strangely enough, outside of a basic rifle, I didn't receive much training with anything else. I was not in a combat unit or MOS (Military Occupational Specialty, AKA your job), so, I didn't get hands on with much while I was in, and that always annoyed me. I'm still learning a lot of pistol basics, though I'm confident enough to carry regularly, but put a rifle or a shotgun in my hands and I'm a force to be reckoned with. There are times when I wish open carry was less frowned on, since I did get used to walking around with a rifle slung across my back. I miss that some times, as odd as that might sound.
