I like the Shakespeare quote about the world being a stage and the people being actors. “Who am I” is one of the most elusive questions. I am so many things. Not only that, I am always changing. When it comes to humans, who you are is context dependent. Our natures are never fixed as we constantly learn and change. On nostr, I’m an anarchist. At work, I’m a patient and understanding professional. Around my father, I’m on edge. Around my mother, I’m relaxed. Around a friend, I’m deep and serious. Around a group of friends I’m funny and lighthearted. It’s like humans are cells that mesh and intertwine with others, temporarily becoming someone different through osmosis.

Some argue that the real you is the person you are in solitude. This is an important person for sure, but it cannot be the real you because humans are not meant to be alone. Humans slowly lose their minds when they’ve spent too much time alone in solitude.

I think life is about experiencing all the ranges of personality and finding the most comfortable fits. Like trying out different styles and sizes of masks until you find the one that feels the best 🎭
