I had forgotten about this cool fact:

In Mexico, there’s a community who invented their own coin called the Túmin as an attempt to fight inflation.

It was created by the people to support merchants and vendors.

Each Tumin is backed by a product or service.

Then the central bank tried to sue them (no surprises there), but it failed.

It’s still being used to this day.

They should use #bitcoin and/or #monero too, IMO.
