I don't own any of them, but when briefly tried the microfreak at friends place it felt like nice modern chameleon. From basic stuff to surprisingly complex and unique. They have a plugin for it for better daw integration now I vaguely remember.
That said, watch some videos, it's the second best to trying it for youself 😎.

It feels like I should just make a decision and realise I will also want the other one with whichever I choose if these two. In a way they're only together cos if the similar price point. Both look great and are vastly different.
Microfreak may have been bumped just ahead since I found out a firmware update allows sample loading.:)
This all depends so much on your preferences, needs and taste. So many things that no one can answer for you. Fortunatelly we are speaking about very cheap synths that you can buy both and return the one you like less.
