It was me 😅. Finishing up the guide on Reddit-like clients, and #downzaps are surely important to mention.
Are you planning some kind of filtration functionality later on? Display positively zapped notes first and such?

Last week I spent a few days writing algos for sorts like top, best, hot like reddit (based on the recent 100 notes or so).
Then I realised that all the feeds looked identical because neither downvotes nor the downzaps are used by many.
Hence postponed it until a time where downvotes and downzaps are common 😁
Makes sense. I’m planning to release the guide tomorrow around this time. Will push it across Reddit and hope we’ll see some inflow of people using the features.
I know Nostr-based “Reddit clients” can’t provide all the functionality Reddit currently offers, but hey, NIP-172 is just 3 weeks old. Sure we’ll have some tinkerers willing to have first mover advantage.
Hopefully some nostriches will also be able to shill this stuff to vocal Redditors. I think nostr:npub18ams6ewn5aj2n3wt2qawzglx9mr4nzksxhvrdc4gzrecw7n5tvjqctp424 knows a few big Reddit potatoes 😄
