John von Neumann and Ray Kurzweil conceived and popularized the notion of AGI as the Singularity.
However, the real convergence is when humanity fully merges with AI whereby losing our individuality.
Perhaps consciousness in its myriad forms today will ultimately fall victim to entropic heat death; where ideations become homogenous and dull as they approach an asymptote of precise uniformity.
