Earlier today I watched Vice President Harris leave for the last time before Election Day.
On the drive home, I saw people on the street waving American flags with Trump signs.
We have way more freedoms as Americans than people often realize. Honored. Grateful. And ready for vitriol to take a seat.
People who won’t vote and don’t appreciate what we still have in America are ignoramuses. Most of the world only dreams of our freedoms.
While I think voting and democracy are important I’m pretty sure most people around the world are not dreaming of the broken American political and social systems. Most people I talk to outside the US assume the country is a violent dangerous place with a crazy system of elections and broken healthcare system. It’s been at least a decade since I heard people say much admirable about the US.
Indeed, the blue cities are that way.
99% of everywhere else is not and has lower crime than Western Europe
The main thing about tomorrow is that voting and democracy have nothing to do with liberty and freedom

There is no such thing as “Gun Violence”. It’s just violence.
It’s so broken, all the world’s immigrants want to come here.
You really think that? The US accepts a relativity low % of immigrants in comparison to other developed countries. People are much more likely to go to Western Europe, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, the Gulf, etc… maybe decades ago the US was the preferred destination. But the world has changed. People who have ties to the US through community and family still move there but even with Mexico the immigration flow is from the US to Mexico not the other way around.
Comparing our system to the rest of the world is a false dichotomy, in my opinion.
ALL centralised systems of governance are irrevocably inequitable and hopelessly broken.
If you want to spend your time, energy and attention moving around “deck chairs on the Titanic” go right ahead.
But don’t shame those who choose not to.
