According to what you posted, they have been trying to shut down the custodial wallet for a year and have been notifying users (can't speak as to if these notifications actually happened). BlueWallet did the same thing when they shut down their custodial lightning service a couple of years ago...with much less lead time for users. I wonder if anyone has actually posted about contacting alby about getting their sats back?
They have announced over a year ago that they are winding down their custodial wallet (in favor of their self custodial Alby Hub), and gave users a year long notice period - all the while communicating this repeatedly through all channels.
These ppl complaining now were living under a rock, and turned a deaf ear on all the emails and comms. And certainly never used the wallet either.

since 18 months it was announced that the old node will be shut down and people have to move to Alby Hub. We want people in control.
The shutdown was scheduled for January 2025 and has also been widely discussed here. Most users also did it.
Dormant users have now the last chance to go through support as you see in those screenshots.
how would you shutdown a system and contact users who do not react on countless private and public warnings?
