I learned that the money I sent was less than the crap they would send back to me so the money was negated but the spending of the organization.

I'm sure your friend is a nice guy.

I only give money to value for value enterprises the days.

Fair enough. I admit I’m the same when asked by tills to add xtra to my bill for charities etc. and dislike charities asking me for direct debit payments on my bank account.

One thing I notice within more libertarian/bitcoin circles is a lack of mention on how to deal with issues such as the disabled or people in dire need of support etc.

The state shouldn’t do it, charities shouldn’t do it, I know churches offer support for vulnerable people but they also do not/can not do enough.

Musicians are often asked to lend support to organisations and probably don’t scrutinise how the money is used but the ones I know have done with good intentions.

The world is complicated!

We will always take care of other people. I've found though that many do gooders ignore their own families which creates broken families.

I'm guilty of this.

Philosophers never take care of anything other than their bellies.
