What is a book that you loved as a kid and now that I ask the question, will have to reread?

For me it’s “Where The Red Fern Grows”.

Growing up in a non country/US context, and loving animals, I ate up books of this variety (White Fang was also pretty great). The wildness of nature and mans connection to dogs in tandem with the dogs indelible nature drew me in.

Where The Red Fern Grows illustrated so much independence, bravery and emotional connection to what was important around you.

And even though I never owned a dog until I was an adult, it also subconsciously shaped a love for hound dogs as I have now had 2 hound mixes and will more than likely find a full hound in the future.

Reading is good. Reading emotionally stirring books is good. Doing so at a young age is even better.

I found a free copy of it online in case anyone wanted to check it out:

The Hobbit by J.R.R Tolkien, the captive pilots Hebrew translation.

I have bad concentration and I go over the same sentence many times

while all sorts of thoughts run through my brain, but I remember

reading it in front of a gas heater one winter when the electricity

was out, and I went through a bunch of it without a problem. It was

the bit with the trolls.
