Well shit it took 3 years but I finally caught the vid. I guess my fever was not a fever. Woke up this morning and could not taste or smell.

Taste and smell is what I live for. This must be what hell is like becasue im fine besides not being able to smell or taste anything.

Oof. Rest well and take care of yourself.

I feel fine lol. Thats the fucked up part. I just cant smell or taste.

Oh no!

I can tell you from experience that the total lack of taste/smell only lasts about 3-5 weeks. But your taste buds will be a little wonky for months.

I used to be a big Coca-Cola drinker. I got the crows (corvid) in like 2022 and until about 6 months ago it finally stopped tasting like Pine-sol. But now I only have one like once every few months at this point.

Well fuck i cook for a living.

Yeah, that's what I thought. I'm sorry, friend.

similar experience for me

That's so weird. The one time I caught it I only had a very mild fever for a day, no loss of taste nor anything.

I only really noticed it because my wife panicked and begged me to take a test.

If my fever was the start of it Ive had it since wednesday

Oof, get well soon!

🫂 When I had it I could literally bite into a raw ginger root, eat it all and feel nothing. That only lasted a bit over a day and then was gone. Back to normal. Hope is just as quick for you and doesn't interfere your cooking much 🍀

Hope the loss of taste and smell passes quickly and you feel all the way better asap! 🫂💜

I had a constant, relatively low fever for around 8 days, then ended up developing pneumonia (I have a history of it) and it got really bad, and I was fucked for months (again, due to the secondary lung infection).

But for me the smell-taste thing it was basically water tasting funny, like extremely sugary. Not that I ate much at all. Very weird and specific, but it seems there was no permanent damage to my nose or taste buds.
