The D/R party convinces everyone that they are enshrined in the system. They are just a middle man everyone thinks is a necessary part of the process. There is no party in the constitution. Its an illusion.
A political party wants you to think they are legit representatives but they are just brokers we have outsourced our governance to.

Compromise and deal making should be based on the desires of those they represent and the values they hold. The lock step two party politics crushes anything that challenges the status quo.
