9 months ago I was able to upgrade from a Pixel 7 Pro to a newer, yet smaller Pixel 8. I assumed a free upgrade would be fine. After all, it was free. I assumed that I would not miss the larger screen, larger keyboard, and telephoto lenses on the camera "downgrading " from the larger Pro version to the regular version.
I WAS WRONG!
I have never made more typos than I have over the past year. I just cannot get used to this smaller screen and keyboard. It's been 9 months and I still make so many damn typos.
I miss the more powerful camera! I have taken many photos of things from a distance and wished that I was able to zoom in to get a more clear photo. This hurts.
I don't know if I can wait another year for a free upgrade. I may get the Pixel 9 Pro when it launches here soon.
Rant over.
The only thing I miss from stock android on graphene is the slipping keyboard feature, much faster to write.

You can use gboard and just block its internet access. No worries that it’s phoning home to google every character you type.
I don't trust it, thanks
Knowing how graphenes firewall works I can say it’s safe but fair play mate. Can’t fault you for not trusting them.
download the futo keyboard
Will try it, thanks
Oh it looks very nice, I'm using it now!
