No, absolutely not. They were built with an entirely different budget, application, and availability of materials. Is it fishy the chicken coop in my backyard is not on par with a million dollar beach front estate built in the same time period? Not everything has to be a conspiracy theory, as much as I love them.
There's no argument in this regard. The post office on the left was not made by Catholic d**k suckers. The building on the right was.
It makes total sense to me. I have relatives who recently died 2023, in their third world falling apart, built from mudd and stone house from the early 1900's in a remote eastern European village that they have never left, while I drive on an 8 lane highway in LA.
My great grandmother watched them build that Capitol with mules and white men. The marble was shipped in from Italy.
